Candy Kingdom Defense Hero Levels and Permanent Growth
Quick answer
- What grows: Feeding develops a hero and improves damage over time; this is collection growth between defenses.
- Different decisions: Account progression and upgrades bought during a match are separate from the selected hero’s level.
A hero level belongs to the collection
Candy Kingdom Defense lets you develop heroes through feeding as well as evolution.
The overview below explains feeding and other hero systems alongside combat.
Hero growth is useful when the selected unit continues contributing across your attempts. Give that investment to a hero with a clear place in the squad instead of spreading resources evenly across every character owned.
Do not confuse three progress indicators
A hero's level describes that unit's development. Your account's progression concerns the player, and an upgrade bought on a placed hero belongs to the defense underway. A larger number in one place is not an instruction to stop making choices in the other systems.
For example, Finn can still need a useful in-match upgrade even after you have invested in his permanent growth. Conversely, spending money on an upgrade during a defense does not mean the collection's feeding decision has been made for you.
Concentrate growth where you will use it
Start with the unit that makes your opening dependable or supplies a contribution the rest of the squad lacks. Developing that unit gives the next attempt a clearer purpose. An unfinished long-term project can wait while the working defense continues earning rewards.
The hero-leveling guide handles feeding preparation and the distinction between XP items and other development resources. After improving a hero, return to the same campaign problem and judge whether the relevant part of the defense became stronger. Keeping the comparison focused is more useful than changing the entire squad at the same time.
